What Are Some Of The Best Ryan Reynolds Ads?

Over the last few months I’ve talked about brands that I think do an amazing job when it comes to advertising. This month though, I’m focusing on one man. Ryan Reynolds. When it comes to marketing I think he has the Midas touch. Don’t believe me? Here are some of the best.

Aviation Gin — Peloton Wife

Now a lot of what he has done with Aviation Gin is funny but this one in particular stands out. Peloton released an ad that had a wife get a Peloton for Christmas from her husband. It was seen as odd or a bit tone deaf. Less than a week later Ryan Reynolds posts a sequel to it in which the wife from the actual ad trading the exercise bike for a cocktail. It makes fun of the original ad and at the same time he got a bunch of publicity.

Detective Pikachu

It’s not uncommon for an actor to get lost in a role. When you voice a character you tend to show up, read the lines, and then leave. Not according to Ryan Reynolds he apparently went method and tried to become Pikachu. I love this ad because it lampoons the sometimes insane levels actors go to for a role whilst also letting Reynolds comedy chops shine.

Deadpool

Deadpool is one of the biggest sleeper hits of the last few years. Ryan Reynolds is the perfect Deadpool . His wit and sarcasm fit the character’s irreverent sense of humor from the comics. Now there are many gimmicks I can talk about from the first film such as trying to market it as a Valentine’s romantic comedy to dressing in full Deadpool costume as Bob Ross. The one video I think epitomises his love and understanding of the character is how Deadpool spent Halloween. I’m not going to say any more but if you get a chance, give it a watch.

Those are just some of the ads that I think show why Ryan Reynolds is worth keeping an eye on. If you want more articles like this one then why don’t you check out our Blog page?
